Most Kiwis cast their first vote knowing barely anything about how MMP works, what coalitions are, or why some policies pass and others don't. School doesn't always cover it. Parents don't always explain it. And by the time it matters, it's election day.
Democrasee changes that. It's a board game first. Fun, fast, and competitive. But along the way it teaches the mechanics of New Zealand politics without ever feeling like homework.
Built for family game nights, classrooms, and flat parties alike.
Watch Democrasee in action
Democrasee
The main objective of Democrasee is to build enough public support to pass your policies, and secure enough seats in Parliament to form government. Players campaign across New Zealand, navigate political events, negotiate with other parties, and use strategy to gain influence while responding to the ever-changing political landscape.
Choose your political party animal and take your place in Parliament.
Campaign across electorates to gain supporters and secure seats.
Roll the dice and move around the board collecting influence, and opportunities.
Choose from drawing Power Cards that can shift public opinion, create alliances, or disrupt opponents, Or choose to run the electorate seat by utulising your Policy back by your Mana Tokens.
Negotiate and form coalitions with other players to strengthen your path to government.
Debate, pass policies, and respond to major political moments throughout the game.
Build the strongest government and lead New Zealand to victory!
